Not exactly the U.S.S. Enterprise.

Things are getting a bit crazy at MacPherson Manor! The next few weeks are jam-packed with a boatload of activities. Between the whole moving thing, we have our 5-year wedding anniversary to celebrate, a certain special day dedicated to moms, and our oldest son Clayton’s graduation/graduation party. To say that it will be a little stressful is the biggest understatement of the century. The end of a school year is always a headache. By the time the boys’ last field trip is over, we are done with the school system. In light of everything that’s happening now, I’ve been done since mid-March. It seems like every other word out of our kid’s mouths are “Oh, mom, the teacher needs 5 dollars for this and 10 dollars for that.” Sorry, kid. Not gonna happen.

So, having said that, we will not be posting regular updates this month. I’m sure you can understand why, and I cannot even begin to tell you how much we appreciate your steadfast support and prayers for us as we have journeyed together with this blog. We can’t stop praising God when we look and see how far we have come since our first post. We have learned so much and we are still learning as we go. For me, this has been a roller-coaster of five years dealing with life-changing events. I am so thankful for Dwight being my unshakable supporter in all the craziness of a family unit bonding and getting to know each other’s rhythms. I am thankful for our sons who are just awesome and have grown up so much. We have emerged stronger and more aware that we may have many trials along the way, but we must move forward with our heads up–standing securely on the Rock of our Salvation, realizing that this world is not our home. Yet (Revelation Ch. 21).

I know this post is jumbled, but you are dealing with a mom who, at this point, can’t figure out her left from her right. I’ve got calls to make, arrangements to sort out, and a gazillion things to do. Know that we love each and every one of you, and we would sincerely appreciate your prayers as we make this huge transition. Rest assured that we will make every effort to get back to normal on the blog as soon as we possibly can.

“May the Lord bless you and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor and give you His peace.” – Numbers 6:24-26

Love and blessings,

Rebecca (and Dwight, too!)
